Hello, I’m Gina, a mother of two, an imperfect human, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I’m here because people need people; nothing in life was done alone and we need one another to lean on, celebrate with, and live life fully. When I meet with clients, they are already well on their way to evolving and growing and I am honored to participate in their process of growth while offering compassion for those unknown elements that always seem to happen in life.

I love therapy and the process of it; for me, it’s a calling and an art. Therapy is where we get to use conversation as a platform for self-growth. We are all continually growing and having a conversation with someone else – as opposed to just in your own head – can really help! Conversations allow for curiosity instead of self-judgment, guilt, shame, and worry.Leaning into that curiosity allows us to explore our emotions differently, with understanding and compassion, empathy and nurturance. As a therapist, I love looking at how the macro system (or the environment around us) impacts each individual person.

I am passionate about working with individuals from teenagers through adulthood and families. My approach is relational with a strong value on authenticity. I’m often described as compassionate, funny, professional, and real. One of my favorite quotes, “Be curious, not judgmental,” by Walt Whitman (waaaay before Ted Lasso, though wherever you heard it, it’s a good one!), is central to my work with clients. In today’s world, there is a silly amount of judgment both socially and within families about that F word; no not that F word…about FEELINGS. How can you be curious about your feelings if you don’t even have them? You do! You’re just not connecting with them; I can help with that. Let’s dig in together and discover what is important, what you want, and what you truly value!

Throughout my career, I have practiced in a variety of settings ranging from hospitals, community programs, and other private practices. In our work together, you can expect me to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Response Prevention, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems theory, emotion-focused therapies, narrative techniques, mindfulness, and psychodynamic theory. My work is trauma informed and I love to incorporate somatic interventions into our sessions.

I love working with individuals, especially young adults and adults with autism and individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). If you’re living life and wanting more balance, healing, and wellness in your life, please reach out to connect with me today. I’d love to walk alongside you on your journey!
