Blue Kite Wellness understands that trauma can take many forms and is unique to everyone. Trauma is defined as an event or series of events that overwhelm a person’s physical, emotional, and/or spiritual resources, making it difficult or impossible to cope. The impact of trauma can be profound and can cause us to suffer in isolation, often entangled with shame, blame, guilt, and anger
Our clinicians are trained in trauma-informed care, using evidence-based techniques to alleviate the impact of trauma. We understand that trauma impacts both the body and mind, and we incorporate “bottom-up” techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to help process trauma without having to retell the story. We use grounding strategies, guided visualizations, and specific trauma-informed interventions to guide clients through the healing process, helping them set down the heavy burdens they carry and move forward in life unencumbered.
At Blue Kite Wellness, we offer a holistic approach to trauma and provide integrative health approaches, such as mindfulness/meditation, yoga, sound baths, and energy healing, among others. We believe in caring for the whole person, emphasizing the importance of self-care, including nutrition, physical activity, social connection, professional wellbeing, and hobbies.

We provide trauma-informed therapy to help you learn how trauma has manifested in your life physically, mentally, and emotionally. We help you explore your relationship with trauma and how it impacts your actions, decision-making, interactions with others, growth, and challenges in life.
Parenting is not for the faint of heart. Parenthood is a journey that will test your limits, confidence, beliefs, and endurance. Whether you are trying to conceive, on a fertility journey, newly postpartum, grieving the death of a child, or a veteran parent, we are here to support you on your parenting journey.
Perinatal (referring to the period from conception through one year after delivery) mental health disorders are the most common complication of pregnancy. In the United States, 1 out of every 5 mothers* and 1 out of 10 fathers* struggles with their mental health during pregnancy and/or in the first year after a baby arrives. Welcoming a new member into your family can be a time of tremendous joy and significant change. As humans, we’re wired to seek comfort, predictability, and what’s familiar. Change pushes against that wiring and causes us distress. Chances are, if you’re an expectant or new parent reading this, your parenting journey has included uncertainty, exhaustion, frustration, and facing lots of change. It can be isolating, defeating, and seem impossible that life will ever look and feel different. First of all, you are not alone. Secondly, we can help.
Perinatal Mental Health disorders include antenatal (during pregnancy) and postpartum depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, manic depression, and psychosis. They affect birthing people and their partners. Signs and symptoms vary, but the most important thing to know is that if you are struggling for more than two weeks after your baby arrives, help is available. You do not need to struggle alone. Perinatal mental health conditions are one of the most effectively treated mental health challenges. Relief from your symptoms and a return to joy, confidence, and hopefulness are possible.

Grief and loss are universal experiences, yet as a society, we struggle to handle them effectively. The intense emotions that come with grief, such as sadness, anger, denial, shock, and horror, can be uncomfortable for others to witness, and well-intentioned statements can often miss the mark, causing more harm than good. As someone who is grieving, you may find yourself caring for others even though you are the one experiencing the loss. It’s not an easy situation, but we can help.
At Blue Kite Wellness, we understand that grief is a personal and unpredictable process that varies from person to person.
