About Blue Kite Wellness
If you're here, something has felt heavy for a while
Maybe you’re not sleeping. Maybe you snap at the people you love and don’t know why. Maybe your child is struggling and nothing you try seems to reach them. Or maybe you’re just tired of holding it all together.
You don’t need the right words, and you don’t need to wait for a crisis. You just need a first conversation. Our therapists in Wheaton listen first, then work with you on what’s actually getting in the way, at a pace that feels manageable.

What we help with
Every person is different, so every plan is too. Our therapists use proven approaches like CBT, DBT and play therapy for younger kids, and they adjust as you go.
Anxiety and stress
The racing thoughts at 2 a.m. The knot in your stomach before work. We help you understand what's driving it and learn ways to calm it that hold up in real life.
Depression
When even small things feel heavy and the things you used to enjoy don't feel like anything. We help you take the next small step, then the one after that.
Trauma and PTSD
What happened to you still shows up in your body and your days. Our trauma-informed therapists move at your pace, and you are always in control of what you share.
Kids, teens and families
Big feelings, school refusal, outbursts, withdrawal. We work with the whole family, and for kids under 21 on Medicaid, our Pathways to Success team can come to your home.
Men's mental health
A place to talk about stress, anger, relationships and pressure without being judged or lectured.
Grief, loss and life changes
Losing someone, a divorce, a move, a new baby, a job ending. Change can knock anyone off balance. You don't have to wait until it gets worse.
Real people
Here when you’re ready
The Blue Kite difference
What it's like to work with us
We match you with a therapist who fits what you’re going through, not just whoever has an opening. Your therapist gets to know your life: your work, your family, your sleep, your stress. If something isn’t working, we change the plan. And if a different therapist would be a better fit, we’ll help you switch, no hard feelings.
For children and teens, we can coordinate with your child’s school and other providers with your permission, so everyone is working from the same plan.
Three ways to meet your therapist
Choose what makes it easiest to keep showing up. A Spanish-speaking therapist is also available.
In our Wheaton office
1761 S Naperville Rd, Suite 103. A quiet, private room and an hour that's yours. Easy to reach from Naperville, Glen Ellyn, Winfield and Warrenville.
Telehealth anywhere in Illinois

At home, through Pathways to Success

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
Yes. We accept Illinois Medicaid plans (Aetna Better Health, Blue Cross Community Health Plans, CountyCare, Meridian, Molina and YouthCare) and most major plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna/Evernorth, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, Medicare and Tricare. We verify your benefits before your first session so there are no surprise bills.
How do I know if I need therapy?
If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or like the things that used to help aren’t working anymore, therapy can help. You don’t need to be in a crisis, and you don’t need a diagnosis to start.
What areas do you serve?
Our office is in Wheaton (60189), and we see clients from Naperville, Glen Ellyn, Winfield, Warrenville, Lisle, Carol Stream, Lombard and across DuPage County. Telehealth is available anywhere in Illinois, and we also have a clinic in Chicago at 2024 W 79th St.
What happens in the first session?
Your first appointment is about getting to know you: what’s going on, what you’ve tried, and what you want to be different. You can share as much or as little as you’re ready to.
How long is a session?
Most sessions are 53 to 60 minutes. The first appointment may run a little longer.
Can I do telehealth instead of coming in?
Yes. You can meet your therapist by secure video from anywhere in Illinois, and you can switch between video and in-person if that works better.
Do you see children and teens?
Yes. Several of our therapists specialize in kids and teens, using play and art for younger children and talk therapy for teens. Families with Illinois Medicaid may also qualify for in-home support through Pathways to Success.
