Practice Specialties
I keep trying to get my ducks in a row, but the lake keeps moving.
My passion comes from wanting to aid others in their journey towards healing. I have seen through personal experience how therapy can greatly help others move forward, grieve, accept change, and take the next steps in their life. I have been a therapist for 5 years working in hospice, domestic violence, and private practice.
I am a trauma informed therapist and have increased my education on being more kink aware and sex positive. Throughout my experience I have learned grief comes in many forms and we do not just grieve when someone passes away. I understand it may be difficult for clients to discuss what they have been through or currently going through.
For some, it is the first time they have ever openly discussed theatopic. I do my best to provide an open, nonjudgemental, safe-space/brave-space for my clients to be vulnerable in. I hold space for clients to be truly heard. I understand the healing journey is long, frustrating, and slow at times; however, it can also be rewarding, brave, and life-changing.
Through therapy, it allows us to become open to the possibility and process of change. I am experience in providing therapy for anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief/loss, trauma, domestic violence, sex, kink, and stress management. I aid clients in navigating their individual healing journeys and goals through strength-based approach to counseling. I have a person-centered therapeutic style with a holistic approach. I use a mix of Cognitive Process Therapy (trauma), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy depending on each client’s needs in session.
